Hank the hero!!

The Blueshirts finally got their first win of the season against the Vancouver Canucks last night in Vancouver. It was also the first time in 14 years that the Rangers have went to Vancouver and came out with all the points, the last time being when Gretzky netted a hatrick back in 1997 the 50th hatrick of his career. However, last night it was goaltender Henrik Lundqvist's turn to be the hero recording a shut out making 40 saves in the game. It wasnt until the third period that the bluseshirts recorded their first goals. The goals came in quick sucession after Mike Rupp broke the deadline after 2:22 gone with Mcdonagh and Brian Boyle scoring within 93 seconds of each other midway through the period. Marian Gaborik added a late fourth to finish the night on a high.
Finally the boys have settled into the season and I hope this win is a sign of things to come. Lundqvist deserved the first star and the "Broadway hat" after an unbeliveable game in goal. Lets hope this good form continues on the road trip and comes home with them to the big apple.
